Brief History

The gymnastics club of En Avant de Paris has over 1500 members of different levels and ages, from infants to seniors. Founded in 1881, En avant de Paris is a well-established club and one of the oldest in France. The main gymnasium – Huyghens – is located in the 14th district, near the Montparnasse train station and is well-known for its beautiful glass Eiffel-style canopy. Gymnasts are also able to train in different locations in Paris such as l’Ecole Alsacienne in the 6th and Lacretelle gymnasium in the 15th. The club and gymnasium have a rich history due to their location and successful past with the club sending gymnasts to the National Championships every year. The club has a strong and cohesive team and is very inclusive.
